About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm changing the world, but don't tell anyone. Shhhhh...it's a secret.

ABOUT ME

American expat living and working in Japan with my family. I enjoy living abroad, visiting beautiful locations and discussing deep topics.

PHILOSOPHY

There are three great questions: Who are we? Where did we come from? and Where are we going?

Have an answer to one of those? Drop by, and tell me all about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once chatted with the last member of a samurai line who traced his lineage back to the days of the first Shogun who recognized his family as retainers.

I have walked above the treeline and the clouds and melted drinking water from snow.

I brewed a pot of tea from leaves I had picked, and baked bread from flour I've ground, and formed steel over charcoal I'd made, and walked in shoes I've sewn.

I have held my own son. Nothing is more precious than the smiles on my wife and son.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tea tea tea! Yumm.
