About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Recently became a dad (his name's Barney, and he's brilliant!) so not able to host at the mo, but want to keep in touch with the project

ABOUT ME

Blimey, where to start? I've spent the last ten years working in or around politics, including as an elected local councillor and as an activist for the UK liberal party. That's wound down a lot in the last year or so since we moved back to my home town of Sunderland and i'm now much less stressed and far more easy going.

I love to travel, mostly in Europe (we're so lucky to have so much variety on our doorstep!). i've had this silly target of visiting every EU capital by time time I'm 30, and i'm just about there...

I live with my partner Laura here in Sunderland, which is a great city on the north east coast of England. Sunderland's got a really proud past and has a great future, but is under rated by many people - come and see why they're wrong!

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live; explore your world; do no harm.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted once, which we really enjoyed. Yet to surf.
