About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting a lot of open minded, adventurous, creative people. Entrepreneurs, designers, artist, musicians, thrill seekers and other fun people exploring life.

ABOUT ME

Curious and young at heart. I live and breathe for changing the world - usually one startup at a time or trying to help others getting closer to their dreams and goals.

I love seeking unusual experiences. I'm a bit counter phobic, simply because every fear, being big or small, is really just a reminder of an irrational constraint within myself. Sometimes growing is just a matter of facing one fear at a time.

PHILOSOPHY

Perception beats reality - and there's usually more than one reality in play anyway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing for the first time, but I will definitely be hosting travelers in my own home. See you soon, I hope.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a CS newbie, so I am very much looking forward to check out the hosts of San Francisco as my first experience. My catching up reading-sessions here on CS leaves me with high expectations. Seems like such a perfect way to get to know the inner secrets of a city or a culture.

Interests

Oh, life is short and the list could be quite long: lots of music (listening as well as playing acoustic and electric guitars, film (indy, documentaries, blockbusters, film festivals), information technology (software and hardware), everything science related, reading novels, brain science, psychology, creativity, leadership, astro physics, computer games in a business setting, food, art (installation, performance). Basically everything art or science related.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I feel alive when visiting my favorite art cinema and also enjoy watching the loud FX blockbuster movies.
Music: I listen to all kinds of music as long as the quality is there. I just love getting new music wether it's rock, electronic, blues, jazz, classical or some peculiar subgenre. Hit me!
Books: Recently Haruki Murakami's novels have captured my heart and mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scouting for alligators in the Amazonas at midnight. Fireflies above our heads like a busy highway. Sitting in a small boat making a sound like an alligator and then waiting for a reply. Seconds later the deep sounds from those ancient creatures are all around us. We were later told there were approximately 50,000 alligators in the area.

That, or when I got chased by elefants in South Africa. Hmmm...Definitely the elefants. I'll tell you all about it later :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have made all the mistakes in the book when it comes to entrepreneurship. You can have them all for free. I have also taught senior managers how to combine brain science, creativity and leadership. Do you want to learn to play the guitar? The rest will show up with a beer and a conversation.
