About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet as many people as possible and explore new things in life.

ABOUT ME

I see the world in positive lights and am very chill to enjoy all that life has to offer. I haven't been to all continents but I am on a path to explore at much as I can. Meeting new people and learning their life and stories is intriguing for me, and that's why I opt to do couchsurfing rather cocooning myself inside a cold hotel.

People say I'm down to earth and trustworthy. I now understand what they meant was that I don't take the traditional wisdom at face value but instead respect the reason behind it. This gave me perspective in life to stay open minded and experience new things and have fun.

I used to work for Microsoft and made Windows. Now I'm trying to start a new chapter in life and work for myself and make games. And hence why I have more time to travel now :)

PHILOSOPHY

Oh wow getting deep here.

"Shaken enough to realize that I need to be awake to the fact that I don't know, and that's the beginning of starting to know."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once stayed with a middle aged family salaryman in Tokyo. He taught me how males in Japan are generally stereotyped into two categories: nikushoku (carnivores) and soushoku (herbivores). Nikushoku males are guys who are manly and confident enough to go after girls and have a relationship. While soushoku males are the opposite where they prefer isolation and has no interest in the other half of the population but only his own appearance. It's quite an interesting concept.

Interests

I run and swim but the Seattle winter makes me lazy to go jog in the cold rain. I don't consider myself a extreme foodie but I can eat pretty much anything out there that has to offer. One time they serve crickets at a Mexican restaurant and I was thinking oh God what have I got myself into this time? Of course I ate a couple to give them a try in the end... they tasted like dried shrimps but I don't think they'll enter into my regular diet.

I Sometimes play video games but I prefer to game with friends to enjoy the bonding. I also snowboard when Seattle winter rolls around and I am still learning how to do jumps.
