Hello! I am an American in the midst of my one-year working holiday visa in Australia. I am based in Melbourne but planning on traveling up the east coast with my boyfriend Aaron come July. We have a campervan which we mostly prefer to sleep in, but will be looking for other couchsurfers along the way to hang out with, cook with, and maybe bum a shower off of :)

It's such a great way to maintain your confidence in humanity! Like here you are feeling all disconnected and lonely, and suddenly you meet up with a complete stranger and exchange stories, and remember that the world is a wonderful, beautiful, connected place.

Intereses

I like music--I'm not incredibly knowledgeable or talented at playing myself, but I love going to shows, especially local ones. I also love to dance. I do a bit of swing dancing, but other than that it's not so structured, mostly just freestyling on the dance floor! And I read a good bit. And traveling of course!

Música, películas y libros

Music--folky/punky/ska type stuff is my favorite, but I can get down with good music of most any genre! If you love Frank Turner, let's be friends.

Movies--I like movies with good character development. Usually the slow-moving, not so plot-driven movies.

Books--Lots of philosophy/mystical/existential type stuff, but again, I enjoy a well-written book of any genre.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Good company, rides in our van (only one extra person at a time though, for safety's sake!), and great vegetarian cooking. That's more my boyfriend Aaron, but I help! I do! I'm a good chopper!
