About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet people doing amazing things in the world

ABOUT ME

I'm traveling August through October as a way of celebrating the launch of a new chapter in my life. I'm stepping into my life's work - helping people through offering life coaching and workshops/ consulting for nonprofits and activist groups.

I'll also be looking for hiking, dancing, eating, and meditation buddies while I travel. Is this you?

There is more information at my website, at www.lisadugdale.com/asheville

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in questioning everything, and love to envision a world in which all of us are fully alive and doing what we can to be more conscious and be of service.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in Boston and in Northampton with a friend, which was great! I've hosted traveling people in Ann Arbor, though not through couchsurfing.

Interests

Intentional communities, sustainable living, hiking, conscious businesses, dance, mindfulness. FOOD - especially all types of interesting spicy food, Asian food and local food (yeah, ok, these don't always go well together...)

  • dancing
  • dining
  • meditation
  • traveling
  • socializing
  • hiking

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - anything by Joanna Macy, Elizabeth Gilbert, Martha Beck, Starhawk, Paulo Coelho.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll never forget the sense of peacefulness and presence at Plum Village in France (Buddhist community led by Thich Nhat Hanh).

And a second one (I'm not one for rules) is Penang, Malaysia, which really was like the Hotel California - these was some danger that I would in fact never leave...amazing food, amazing people, amazing place...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer trainings and coaching on topics such as: knowing your conflict style, understanding and operating from your strengths, creating an effective vision (and knowing what is stopping you from moving forward on it).

Countries I’ve Visited

Cuba, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
