* Kyle and I met in high school and have been together ever since. Now we have 4 grown chidren who have thier own lives. (This means we have lots of room for you!)
* I’m going to college to be a social worker and I graduate in 2025.
*I'm working to grow my cultural sensitivity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer a lively conversation with my host and giving them a well chosen gift in exchange for thier hospitality rather than stay at an impersonal hotel.

Each time I couchsurf it is a unique and fun experience that has taught me there are many more amazing people in the world than awful ones. I have found couchsurfing hosts to be interesting and kind people.

Interests

I enjoy attending plays and concerts of all types, along with cooking, hanging out with my siblings, family, and friends. Furthermore, cycling and baking, playing cards and games, swimming and travel are all enjoyable. We both enjoy babies and the antics of children.
I think people the world over are interesting and everyone has a story to share.

Music, Movies, and Books

*Music- I love most music from classical, folk songs, and country music. I grew up listening to Bon Jovi, Elton John, and Journey. I like listening to Cuban, Latin, and African sounds. I Love Music and musicians.

*Favorite book. . . No favorite, there are too many good books out there to be discovered. That's why I never read a book twice! I have read over 10,000 pages in the past 10 years!

*Movies- No favorites, I ju love movies and enjoy discussing a movie's plots and characters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Planned and taught an English language camp in central China for over 120 kids ages 8-16.
-I homeschooled my kids onto high school and college success. I guess that makes us quirky, in a good way.
_Graduating with my 2 year college degree as a first generation college student, when I was 50 years old, felt like an amazing accomplishment.

Teach, Learn, Share

-Please don't ask to stay for more than 3 nights at a time.. If we are a good fit, a stay can be longer.
-I'm trying to be a better listner. People often times need your ear more than your help.
-If we have time, teach/tell me how to make your favorite meal and I will share mine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation and life experinces. We learn from each others this way.
I am curious about everything from birth to death and anything inbetween. I am full of questions about people, thier culture, and what thier everyday lives are like. We are respectful guests who trod lightly when hosted. I don't take your hospitality for granted or your willingness to host others. Last, I can share my home and what I have if you come visit us in Minnesota, U.S.A.
