About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel throughout Europe while living in Germany for a year

ABOUT ME

I am a graduate student, going to Germany on a Fulbright research grant to study alternative energy. I finished my bachelor's and master's degree in 5 years of non-stop schooling and interning, so I had barely any time to travel, though I did spend two subsidized weeks in Greece, as part of a class. It was a good experience, and really made me want to travel more. I will be in Germany for about 11 months and wish to travel as much as I can when I am there :)

PHILOSOPHY

I think overall I am always trying to improve things and do things in a better way. I like to help people with their problems, and I try to be understanding. I struggle with living my life and not living for the next part of my life, but I think that it'll be easier to live the moment over the next year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been as active as I would like, and have only couch surfed through this site once, though I have done a lot of couch surfing with friends over Germany. I am starting to try to join events with the local chapter, and we'll see from there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been traveling a lot since I've been in Germany, but have been mainly couchsurfing with people I already knew, so I haven't used this site to arrange that, but, after tagging along with some friends who were visiting Basel, I ended up staying over at a couchsurfers place they were staying (He had no problem with having another person). Anyways, it was a great experience, and we had so much fun in Basel, which would not nearly have been as fun without the local touch!

Interests

I'm interested in a lot of things, from cultures, religion, people's opinions, long conversations, being outside, music, art, technology, learning new things, etc. I wish I had more time to do more, but I am hoping I will over the next year :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun rise over the Acropolis, from the Pnyx, the morning I flew back from Athens, with all of my great travel mates.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know quite what I could teach you, but if you had a question I am pretty good about finding answers. :) I studied Electrical Engineering, but I don't know as many practical things I can teach you, but I can try to help solve your problems :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Greece, Trinidad and Tobago

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
