I am very easy going and like to make friends wherever I go. Here in Austin I am trying to grow my musical community by hosting a weekly old time music circle and by creating events around town.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To connect with people around the country as I explore or travel. I have made many friends across the country through music or otherwise, and it's always nice to find people with interesting stories to share.

Interests

I am connected in the Austin Traditional Music community and run a weekly Old Time music circle in downtown Austin. I play banjo, fiddle and guitar. I am also an art teacher and love to make art as well as learn about art history.

Usually if I am travelling it will be to camp, hike, fish etc somewhere beautiful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived and worked in Australia for the better part of a year. I worked on a cattle station in the NT and helped aboriginal painters create art.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what this part is about but if it is about what I could teach to others I can definitely teach and share my knowledge and love of Traditional American folk music. I play banjo, fiddle and guitar and usually bring one or all of them with me wherever I go.
