Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Up until this point I have mostly been involved in events in the bay area: Campfires at the Beach, Meetups playing Apples to Apples, Parties. A very good friend of mine has traveled all around the country surfing and I love listening to her tell the stories of her adventures. I am looking forward to my own travel experiences in the future. :-)

Interests

I am addicted to hula hooping. I even learned how to make my own hoops. I am an avid Doctor Who fan. When a new episode comes out four generations of my family gather to watch it. I love to make art. Some of my favorites are painting, sketching, building things and especially crochet. I joined the art Community in town and I am enjoying it immensely. Once a month I set up a table downtown at Bakersfield's First Friday. The only downside is that I usually spend more money than I make because I love the art of my fellow artists. I am a mother of 2 young children currently residing in a blanket fort in the middle of the living room.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love when musicians get together to jam, especially if there are many people around but no audience because everyone is participating in some way or another like hooping or dancing. I don't play any music myself but I collect instruments for others to play and try to take some of them with me whenever I go out. These are the moments that leave me awestruck so I try to recreate them as often as possible.
