About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live, learn, and explore. To broaden my perspective and meet new people.
ABOUT ME
I enjoy books and people who are kind. My spirit animal is a wombat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hosted couchsurfers at my apartment when I studied abroad in Oslo, Norway in the fall of 2012, and got hooked on CS ever since! Now I am back in the US and continue surfing/hosting when I can.
My experience with CS has been extraordinarily positive. Some of the best memories from my travels were spent laughing and exploring with couchsurfers/hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Back to the Future, Almost Famous
Books: Harry Potter series, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Empire of the Ants/"Les Fourmis", Walden (Thoreau), Nature (Emerson)
Music: give me all your hippie music... Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Simon & Garfunkel, Jimi Hendrix, Donovan. However, I go through musical "phases", and currently I am actually really into bluegrass. The list is ever-changing and ever-growing. I love to find new music, so share your favorite tunes with me!

Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I work as a research assistant in a cognitive neuroscience lab, so I can talk to you about brains and dopamine and scary mad scientist zombie-making machines.
Learn: I am content learning/talking about most things, but I have a particular interest in the phenomenon of language. I am always trying to improve my foreign language skills, and who better to learn from than couchsurfers?
Share: FOOD! I love to eat (still working on the "cooking" part).
Let's be friends!
