I'm a professional wanderer. I'm currently in Juneau, AK, working as a canoe guide, but originally I'm from Texas. I want to travel everywhere and do everything possible, and I'm motivated by incredible women in my family who never took no for an answer. I have a degree in wildlife science from Texas A&M University, but I'm a bit of an odd duck coming from Texas (pun intended). I believe in equality, environmental awareness, and living life as fully as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in Juneau for the summer and I will be going to Catalina Island on August 25th. In the meantime, I'm planning to fly to Seattle and bus from there to Portland, and from there to Los Angeles over the course of a week or so. I'm hoping to have a couple places to stay while I'm in those two cities, and hopefully some new friends to explore and learn with!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked all of the mountains in Juneau, and each has brought its own spiritual and transcendental experience. Not sure how amazing it is to hear about, but it sure was amazing for me.
