Studying gamelan at ISI Surakarta 2024-2025

Music - studied in school. I play violin, piano, and guitar. Lately interested in jazz, reggae, gamelan, Carnatic and Hindustani classical (bhajans!), afro-funk, and ambient. I have experience improvising on violin, reading sheet music, composing, singing sea shanties, and playing Balinese gamelan.

Religion - studied a bit in school. I am most interested in meditation, buddhism, and hinduism, but am interested in all kinds of religious experiences and perspectives.

Traveling - so far been to Netherlands, Belgium, and Bali.

I would be more than happy to give or receive music lessons. I am comfortable teaching violin and composition, some Western music theory, and maybe a bit of piano or guitar.

I would love to learn about meditation techniques, spirituality, or anything of that nature. I could teach basic meditation.

I would be happy to take photos for you of whatever. I am an amateur photographer, but I've taken some great photos.

I love new foods! I would eat anything that's cooked for me.
