ABOUT ME

I am from Namibia, and a while back I finished as a student at Oxford doing a PhD on Dance Psychology/Anthropology of Dance. I love adventures, rock climbing, meeting new people and living spontaneously. I love nature and the wilderness, particularly mountains, the desert, stars and the ocean. I value my friends and travels very deeply and am always trying to learn more about life and laughter from the places I discover and the people I meet. I love to dance, and when there is music on, I find it difficult to concentrate on talking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first started couchsurfing in Brasil, where I travelled for research, and then stayed as loved the country and people. Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to exchange cultures, meet new friends, and create a good, honest network of people who value travel and people.

Interests

I like to dance, to travel (ideally not as a 'tourist') and to get to know the essence of new places, and cultures. I like to sit and watch things go past and to draw and paint what I see or imagine. I love to climb mountains and swim in the sea and to be close to nature. I like to meet people who are interested in new experiences, who are open and kind and who like to laugh and feel their place in the world :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, I was looking through a telescope into space, and then before I decided which direction to move the telescope, a shooting star cruised through the field of view... which was a pretty amazing chance of looking at the right part of space at the right time, without even meaning to :)
