About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a student at Montana State University. I am studying photography and love most artistic mediums. I love traveling, hiking, cooking and just being active. I am also a hula hooper so if there are any fellow hoopers needing a place to stay (or anyone wanting to learn for that matter), I'm definitely up for some hooping!
PHILOSOPHY
"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." ~ Einstein
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love traveling and meeting new people from different walks of life. Currently I work full time in the hospitality business while saving up so I can go back to school in the spring. Unfortunately this means my adventures are on hold for awhile. So hosting other people during their travels allows me to help others have a good experience and keeps me sane while I'm not traveling! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love classic rock, jam bands, psychedelic rock, anything Iceland does, post rock, bluegrass, blues, jazz. Some of my faves are Sigur Ros, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bat for Lashes, Papadosio, Tea Leaf Green, Perpetual Groove, Phish, Rising Appalachia, Mumford and Sons, Avett Brothers, Lemon Jelly and many others.
I very rarely watch movies honestly. I love documentaries though.
As far as books go, I enjoy reading non-fiction (especially biographies) and epic poems (I can get into anything James Merrill does).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was given the opportunity to study abroad a few years ago and got to knock a few things off my bucket list including traveling to Barcelona and seeing La Sagrada Familia, visiting a concentration camp (Dechau, Sachsenhausen) and seeing the Alps! Those few months I spent in Europe were some of the most enlightening and fantastic experiences that I will not soon forget.
