When I was a child my dad went to faraway places for work as an oceanographer. He would come back with small souvenirs or candy/food and lots of stories. I've loved travel since then. His stories birthed a love of culture and admiration for people and our differences that stays with me today.

After living in the US and seeing most of the states, I spent a couple of years in Bali, Indonesia. Now I have a compulsion to travel, experience new things, and meet cool people. I'm stoked for what will open up before me and I'm excited to share my adventures with anyone who will host me. Cheers!

I listen to a lot of podcasts (true crime and comedy) and books (personal/spiritual development). I don't watch much of anything but my all-time favorite TV show is The Office.

I raised 2 foster (government) kids for two years. I saw them transform in amazing ways. It was the most challenging and MOST REWARDING experience of my entire life.

I hold a TEFL certification and have 15 years (off and on) teaching English as a second language to adults and children in person and online. I have instructed language lessons in classrooms, small groups, and individually. I am happy to help people practice their English and I'm very familiar with common mistakes and will provide ways to improve.
I'm happy to practice English and share stories and help cook meals. Open host's ideas, too!
