ABOUT ME

I'm an easygoing person who strives to lend a helping hand to others when needed. I like fairness and justice. I am a balancing force. Wherever I go, I want to find the heart of the action. Where are amazing things being created? That's where I want to go. I need fuel for the fire. Show me inspiration and I will bounce it right back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first time couchsurfing. My intrepid traveling partner, Ms. Suzie Kelly, has been a member for quite some time. She has hosted here in Tennessee and surfed in Ireland.

Interests

I love live music. I like to perform, and to support and collaborate with other local musicians. I enjoy seeing new places and spending time with interesting people. I haven't been in the woods enough lately. I love hanging out at the river. The infinite flow of the water ensures perpetual change :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite non-fiction author is Tom Robbins so far. He makes me think poetically in a whimsical way. I just read On the Road not too long ago, and it gave me an itch. I'm always open to suggestions for a good read. Anything that is inspiring in some way works for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

No big event or happening comes to mind. I suppose I find amazement every day in some way. People amaze me. Nature amazes me. My intrepid traveling partner, Ms. Suzie Kelly amazes me. She is a very talented artist, folks! I draw stick people, so anyone who can draw or paint well is definitely a wonder of the world to me. Oh, and Lindsay Buckingham when he plays acoustic and sings.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been playing and singing around East Tennessee for about 15 years now. Eventually, I may be interested in teaching private guitar lessons. I am currently trying to improve my guitar skills, and hone my songwriting skills. I think most artists write many songs before they come up with a masterpiece. I have written a few, and I will write many more, even if I never come up with that one GREAT song. I think it is essential to my well-being. I am always open to tips and tricks and know-how.
