ABOUT ME

Curious, creative, adventurous, independent, I seek sparkles in life, believe in being proactive, don't have time for people who complain (either do something to improve your situation, or just deal with it silently), am an eternal optimist. Currently on a research travel grant from my grad department (my reward for graduating this year!) to study more sustainable ways that cities worldwide can begin to manage their water, in terms of stormwater, wastewater, and drinking water systems. I like synergies, in which you get win-win situations - e.g. using plants to remove excess nutrients from urban waterways.

I don't have my own couch at the moment but when I do, it'll likely be in San Francisco and would be down to have folks come visit!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

watched the constellation Orion (in Hawaiian mythology the Father of the Universe) set behind Mauna Kea in Hawaii (its profile is of a woman, the Mother of the Universe), looks pretty intimate - which is how Hawaiian legend explains the creation of everything we know
