About Me

CURRENT MISSION

be happy and also trying to covert my passion into my job

ABOUT ME

I love nature and especially mountains. Paramo and volcanoes of Andes have become my passion. I used to be a competitive runner and still train a lot when possible.
After the university I worked few years in multinational company but luckily found enough power to escape the stereotypes and changed life for financial wealth. I spent two years traveling in South America.
If I am not hiking, climbing mountains, running, I might be drinking beer for example :-)
Currently I have a lot of work with starting my travel agency focused on South America.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great, great, great!
Being hosted in ARG: Mendoza, PERU: Huanuco, BRA: Manaus, Boa Vista, VEN: Caracas, Guri, San Cristobal, COL: Bogota. And met dozens of CouchSurfers all around South America.

Interests

running&sports, hiking, climbing the mountains, travelling, languages, news, books and when I am fed up with those than also thinks like party, beer, etc.
While traveling I am interested in meeting local people rather than tourists. Get to know local places rather than LP destinations.

Music, Movies, and Books

recently discovered: Mario Vargas Llosa (El Sueño del Celta!!!) and much much more
movies I don´t watch very often - Mulholland Drive, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Man on the Moon, Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump.
I like the life too much to spend it watching tv.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Climbing up the active volcano of Tungurahua in Ecuador: alone in the clouds on the top, then a minute above the clouds. Might be the last one who was up there, four weeks later it exploded and has been very active since.
- Reaching the southernmost place of South America after three days demanding hike incl. crossing deep river in temperature close to 0 degrees and lots of rain. And getting back safe after another four days in total end of the world.
- deserts, altiplano, Huascaran and Huayhuash mountains, smoking volcanoes of Ecuador, on the river Napo in cargo boat among the indigenous people whole week, climbing up Cotapaxi at night with a friend, one month in Iran during Rahmadan, 30 days on the road with 150 Euros reaching almost Armenia (from the Czech Rep.), northern lights, Southern Patagonian Ice Field, GR-11 route in Pirineos, Lapland in both summer and winter, Zakarpatsko region, whale watching RECENTLY Parinacota 6340m, first one in 2013 and alone, ...

Teach, Learn, Share

Perhaps English, Czech, Spanish, ...
In San Cristobal, Venezuela I had a great success teaching how to eat mango properly.
Running (training), maths, dancing "valcik" (nothing else), climbing mountains (if you think you can survive the rain, cold weather, ...) etc. :-)

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Iran, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
