Hi! This is Dylan and Lawson aka Brothers Reid. In March 2015 we launched a three year trip Round the World on our adventure motorbikes. We have simple life plans consisting only of this endeavour with an epiphany by the end. Failing the epiphany we’ll probably have to go for another lap until we have one.

We are fundraising for leading edge Research in Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) undertaken by QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. Our lives were shattered by the loss of our brilliant sister to this dark disease in 2011. Heidi was 27-years-old when she succumbed to the darkness of her depressive disorder and committed suicide. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We need to make our savings stretch the three years. That won't be possible staying in hotels... we'll pull it off camping, sleeping on floors AND making friends on CouchSurfing :) We have comfy sleeping and camping gear... so all we need is some floor space and somewhere to stash the bikes.

A standard drink differs between countries. In Australia, one standard drink = 10g of alcohol = 12.7mL (density of alcohol is 0.789). For example, a 30mL shot of 42% = (30 x 0.42) / 12.7 = 1 standard drink

So when you're sitting in some backward part of the world wondering how many standard drinks in your 640mL tallee of 6% beer... (640 x 0.06) / 12.7 = 3 ! All you need to do is remember the number 12.7... how handy is that?!
