About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Studying and conserving wildlife population in the United States.

ABOUT ME

I have spent the last few years traveling around the western Unites States working on various wildlife research position including work with cougars, wolves, coyotes, bobcats, lynx and ground squirrels. I hope to continue studying wildlife in western Washington now that my partner has found permanent work in Seattle. I love working outside and studying the wonders of the natural environment that we are so lucky to have in our country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I lived in Ecuador as a Peace Corps volunteer I offered a place to stay for any travelers that wanted to stay in a beautiful area with a lot of places to explore. I didn't get many takers as I was off the beaten path. Since returning, I have had few opportunities to rejoin the community as I often live in the woods doing research or am housed in temporary research housing where guests aren't permitted. I look forward to a time in the near future when I can accept guests once again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The time I housed people i really enjoyed my experience. I look forward to returning to the community this year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My experience as a Peace Corps members was amazing. I lived in a different culture by myself learning the language and trying to help the environment. I feel like I learned so much in so little time, and I am proud of the friendships I made and the small difference I hope I accomplished.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people about my research.

I would love to learn about other's communities and the challenges they face or the greatness they experience.
