I am very active and especially enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Traveling, particularly around the State of Michigan, is one of my most favorite past times. Having grown up in a family that traveled extensively on a budget, particularly to almost all of the United States along with several other countries, I appreciate taking in all that is around me, wherever I am.

Camping out is at times not an option, and a hotel is not always my favorite. Meeting new people is a great way to get to know a new area. Couchsurfing lends itself to that experience.

My fun is endurance events whether on two legs, two wheels, or on/in the water racing open water swim events or sailing/racing the Great Lakes or other big bodies of water, also riding and gliding on the snow.

Completed the Ironman World Championships in Kona Hawaii in 2009. And swam the Straits of Mackinac.
