Hey guys, I'm 41 year old and I'll be in the USA for four months from the beginning of September until the beginning of January.

I'll be on a solo backpacking trip so I'd love to meet as many US locals as possible and it'll be great if some of you would be able to put me up for a night or two if I'm in your area.

Unfortunately I'm not able to host in Johannesburg but I'd be keen to meet, hang out and show you around.

Musician and music teacher by trade. Chilled and mature personality and this is my first couch surfing experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because the desire to travel and see the world has become too strong for me to not to give in to and it's also been ages (6 years) since I travelled last.

I would also love to have an authentic experience of new countries, cultures and people and I believe Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to do that.
