Cycling across South America

ABOUT ME

I've left my life in Cape Town, South Africa behind to tour South America on a route that will take me through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Columbia. Other than this i have no plans and only a few ideas as to what the adventure will be...

This is my 1st long distance tour and I'll be traveling solo. It's not really about the cycling but about traveling in a way that allows me to experience the places in between, to be in a landscape or culture, rather than watch it go by through a window. It's about experiencing life more simply through authentic experiences on the road.

I will be grateful for any opportunity to meet and stay with local people, and to learn about life in their country through their eyes.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that the experience and gratification we get from a journey depends more on ones mindset than the destination to which we travel and so I always try to stay open, curious and receptive to the world around me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's always traveling or being somewhere I've never been in my life that makes me feel most alive. These are the most amazing things for me. That feeling of waking up in the morning and not knowing what's gonna happen that day or where you'll sleep that night

One experience stands out and that was driving out of my front door in Cape Town, South Africa and arriving in Trafalgar square, London 8 months later in the same car having crossed Africa with 5 of my best friends.

It's an experience that i appreciate more and more as time goes on...
