About Me
A young translator ridden with wanderlust who's just getting started on CS.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So I can meet new places and new people, and exchange experiences with others!
Interests
Anything related to translation, different languages and cultures, or creative processes! I'm also a huge nerd who enjoys books, comics, animation, illustration, gender/sexuality issues, and cooking. I'll gladly listen to anyone who's clearly passionate about whatever they're talking about, though.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all sorts of books! My taste changes all the time, but I particularly enjoy drama and short stories.
Something similar happens to music; I just can't limit my taste. Overall I like songs with lyrics that tell stories.
My favorite movie types are animation and psychological horror. My current fave is Janghwa Hongryeon, but I'm also a huge sucker for anime (Fullmetal Alchemist, Mawaru Penguindrum, Noragami, Perfect Blue).
Teach, Learn, Share
I love getting to know places for what they really are--the sides that locals get to see and enjoy, not just the tourist attractions (although those can be pretty cool, too!). I love to learn about the regionalisms, the customs, the foods (as long as they're vegetarian, please), everything! Also getting to see places with plenty of natural beauty and capturing every aspect of it in pictures :) Overall my mind is really open to anything people would be willing to share (as long as it doesn't involve agitated night life. Sorry, but dark clubs and packed pubs make me feel legitimately uneasy. Further proof that I am but an old woman inhabiting a 19-year-old body).
And that is what I like to share with others! I love showing people around and telling them everything I know about places that are special to me, places I was recommended by locals and those hidden gems I ended up finding on my own. In case you're a bookworm, a coffee addict and a fan of nature, oh boy am I sure we'd hit it off right away. I could give an endless tour of bookshops, local cafés and PARKS! Oh man do I love parks, and Dublin has so many to offer. Stephen's Green and Phoenix Park are overrated, let me tell ya.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good chat (I'm usually more of a listener, but once I notice the other person is interested, I can talk a lot as well!), brigadeiro, silly drawings and lengthy lectures on translation theory.
Just kidding! I'll actually just draw and go on unending descriptions of every single linguistic theory applied to translation that I know of. You won't be disappointed, rest assured.
