About Me

I'm a brazilian journalist and my passion is traveling around the world while I write about my experiences on my blog www.gotogatebrasil.com.br

I changed my lifestyle and nowadays I'm a digital nomad, so that means I change home (city/country) constantly. That was the biggest change I ever done in my life!

I'm spending some time in London, but unfortunately, I can't have guests, once I share the house with more people, but my boyfriend and I are very open and we're always ready to help.

My philosophy:

Go far :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My boyfried and I have a very flexible life because we work online and this lifestyle gives us freedom to travel and know new places when we want (or something like that).

I believe that CS is a good way to know more deeply the places because you get to know the real local people. When I'm traveling, I like to go deep into the local culture.

I appreciate the "slow travel mode" and it's an awesome experience to meet the real people from the place I'm going.

I really believe in this quote: "we read, we travel, we became" (by Derek Walcott) and being on CS helps me to make this true.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really like reading and Kindle is my best friend in all my travels. Currently, I'm reading Yoga for People Who Can't Be Bothered to Do It, by Geoff Dyer.

I'm fan of brazilian music, which is very rich in terms of rhythms and styles, but I also like indie rock, folk, jazz, reaggae, afrobeat and hip-hop... I'm a very musical person, so I love to research about it and discover new rhythms of different places. I think it is a way to learn about other cultures.

In Brazil, I used to be a sort of DJ in parties around the city of Sao Paulo, where I lived my whole life before to start exploring the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got out of my comfort zone and became a digital nomad. I guess in Europe and USA nowadays is really common to become the digital nomad, but in Brazil is something very new and some people think that is just crazy and irresponsible and I kind got out the system hahahaha. I'm really proud of me. Being a digital nomad is something that makes me free to live where I want, when I want. It's an amazing experience and I'm very happy!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like to know new lifestyles, cultures, cuisines and languages. We grow a lot when we get to know different things and ways of living.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like talking about places I've visited, experiences I've had, about my country and I can teach portuguese (BR) and brazilian cuisine! Plus I'm a journalist and social media, so I can help you with some job or text. :)
