About Me

Leaving for Europe on August 30th.

24 year old that is tired of working and college. After years of doing pretty much the same things I decided it was time for something different, something that would take me out of my comfort zone. Luckily a friend came to me about backpacking Europe and I was instantly interested. A few months later a here I am, a few weeks from our trip. Equally excited and nervous about this trip. My hope is to start living and start experiencing the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never had any experiences with Couchsurfing, but I do hope that this changes. I want to experience what the world has to offer and a good way to do that is not to stay at hotels or hostels, but with the people that live in those cities. I hope that this is the start of something wonderful for me.

Interests

HUGE soccer fan. Love Manchester United, the Mexico national team, and I am a season ticket holder with the San Jose Earthquakes of MLS in the USA. apart from soccer (it really is a huge part of my life), I try and go hiking whenever I can (which is not often sadly enough, but I want to change that).

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Honestly all kinds. I can watch pretty much anything.

Music: Muse is my favorite band, I've seen them live 5 times. Also love The Black Keys, Alt-J, Band of Skulls, Daft Punk, Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, Royal Blood and The White Stripes to name a few. I did go to EDC 2013 and Coachella 2015.

Books: How to Travel the World on $50 a Day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year (2014), as my dad was going through his midlife crisis, I got dragged to participate in a running of the bulls (not the one in Spain) with him. Words cannot describe how scared/nervous/excited I was. Easily the craziest thing that I have ever done. Would I do it again? HELL YES.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to learn about people and other cultures.
