About Me
Let's see, info that's not already here.
I guess the first thing I can say is that I'm a religious man. I believe in Christ, I believe He has expectations of me that I strive with everything in me to meet. I'm motivated by that faith to always be doing good, and helping others in ways that I can. I feel like in most areas of my life, I hold myself to higher standards than others, and I take pride in that, especially in my strict honesty. After what I thought was a harmless prank at work once (don't ever put industrial soap in someone's drink, like, not even a little, not even if it's mixed with water... haha), I had to choose between owning up or letting someone else who participated take the fall, and I chose to own up. Then, of course, next interview, I was asked why I was fired, and I'm 100% sure that it was my honesty that got me that job.
I'm a pretty positive person. I'm sarcastic, I'll get that out there right away. I speak sarcasm more fluently than I speak English, but I still try to be light and positive with it.
I'm also super grateful, and super loyal. I'd honestly say loyalty is another one of my crowning virtues. If you do something that I'm grateful for, chances are very good that I'll be grateful for it for the rest of my life, seek to return the favor in some way, and then feel like I made a friend, and feel even more loyal. And honestly, it doesn't take much for me to be grateful for, or to get on my good side.
I have a killer sweet tooth. I can't hardly eat anything without needing to have something sweet to top it off with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because of the recommendation of a friend. He's a crazy guy, but, he swore by this. He said it helped him a lot in his travels and adventures. I'd trust that guy with my life, and so, when he told me about this, I was like, huh, sweet.
Honestly, I don't travel a lot. But, I enjoy meeting people, I enjoy getting to know them, and I love helping people. I definitely plan on being a host when I actually have my own place, aaaaafter college in a few years. I think that for personally doing some couchsurfing myself, it's not gonna be very often of a thing, but, it seems reliable for a lot of people, my friend included, and so I'm excited to be using it.
Interests
I love Jesus. haha Any time I get to talk about Him is a good time for me. I'm not like, preachy about it, though. Yeah.
But for reals, I just love getting to know people. I find it fascinating being able to sit down with someone I don't know and have a conversation. I think that there is something I can learn from everyone, and I think that's why I love my canvassing job so much. I get to talk to tons of people, 100+ new people every day, and even when their opinions differ from mine, I think it's awesome being able to sit down and talk about why, and to view life from a little bit different of a perspective.
I love stories. Awesome stories, be they weird, or funny, or inspiring, they just make my day. I'd say I don't have a ton, but, that prolly also comes from hearing those of so many awesome people.
I love good food. I love languages. I know English fluently, but, I just absolutely love being able to sit down and learn little phrases from other languages. I think it's one of the funnest things in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Honestly, contemporary music is where it's at for me. Hands down my favorite, but, I'm also a fan of techno, and alternative rock. If it gets me pumped, or helps me feel closer to God, or both, I love it.
Gladiator, hands down, favorite movie. It's just awesome. Plain and simple. Chronicle and Project Almanac come in pretty close after it. Sure, they may not be super original in their ideas or anything, but, for some reason, the latter two just really hit me. I think it's cus they remind me exactly why I wasn't allowed to have super powers or a time machine. haha They get me thinking though. Gladiator is awesome just cus of the action and the music.
Books. Well, the scriptures. But, also, I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I grew up on those books, and I'd comfortably say I read the crap out of them, several times. haha I also enjoyed the first few Artemis Fowl books. Ah. Yeah, I wish I was more cultured, but I haven't really read any of the classics that I always hear about, but, it's on my bucket list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Whew. Well. I think that one amazing thing I've done is serving a two-year mission for my church. I had the opportunity to go to Virginia, and I served all over the place, from the rich, super populated Woodbridge and Fredericksburg areas, to the tiny Lawrenceville, from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge mountain range, to downtown Richmond. I really just got to see every walk of life. But I think what made doing that amazing is that I got to spend 2 years focusing completely on others. I put my whole life on hold, no dating, no school, no saving money for anything, no seeing family or friends, just to go and serve and help others. The most memorable person I was able to help was a man who had been widowed twice. He worked in the cemetery where his late wives were buried, and came home, and watched Duck Dynasty, and if it was summer, he hunted. That was the extent of his life. But, I was able to help him find new meaning and direction, he started going to church, where he was welcomed, and had friends and people who cared about him. Now he is happier than ever, because he not only has a relationship with God, but also, friends, and a sense of purpose from having responsibilities, and extended family now in the congregation there and also in me and other missionaries who helped him on his path. He has goals for life. It was so amazing, being able to be there, helping him, inviting him to make changes in his life that would make him a happier person. I'd definitely say it was a life changing experience for me, being able to go and help people in that way all over Virginia.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you wanna talk about Jesus, I'm full of answers, ideas, and references there.
Other than that though, I don't exactly have a ton of life experience or education or training in really anything at all. Didn't do music or sports in high school, didn't really have a drive for much of anything back then, now that I think about it. Laaaaame. If I had a time machine...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Umm. Honestly, I can't say. Haha I can have as lengthy a conversation as anyone wants to have, sharing limited experience from my life. If you have questions about God, or how to come closer to Him, I can help with that. I'd love to help with that.
If you need to remove or change the alternator from your car, I can help with that. That's about the only thing I know about a car after spending an entire afternoon and evening fighting with my Ford Focus for it's own alternator, only to find that the one I purchased was faulty, and so I had to repeat the process.
If you're down to listen to or talk about some crazy theories about life and stuff, I can also bring that to the table.
I also make a mean breakfast quesadilla, or regular quesadilla, but the breakfast ones are better. Oh, I worked at Subway for about a year, so I can also make a pretty good sandwich.
As for practical things to bring to anyone's table, I don't really have any of that, but, I like to think of myself as a pretty fun guy, and so, whatever is going on, I'm bound to make it as fun as I can, cus hey, who likes being bored?
