Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is something I've always wanted to do and have been interested in. Couchsurfing provides me with the means to meet new people and explore new places without dealing with the high cost of hotels that take away from the amazing experience of social interaction on my adventures.

Interests

I love photography, movies, video games, tattoos, exploring new places, and trying new food. I love learning about different cultures, particularly those situated in areas such as Japan, Korea, China, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a variety of music, however, above all I prefer Metal, Hardcore, and Folk. Some of my favorite bands include Killswitch Engage, Deftones, Underoath, A Day to Remember, Architects, Periphery, Volumes, Mumford and Sons, Flogging Molly, and Dropkick Murphys.

I'm big into Star Wars, as well as a large collection of films such as Inception, Fight Club, and The Wolverine, but I also love to watch foreign movies such as The Wave, Relentless, and Shaolin.

Some of my favorite books have been the Harry Potter series (what child living in the 90's didn't read it?), Sun Tsu's Art of War, Game of Thrones, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed, and The 10,000 Year Explosion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave up boring and safe life in the small state of Delaware, joined the Army, pushed myself beyond what I thought were my physical and mental limits, and moved to the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The physical training of the Army got me into the shape to truly experience one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
