Optimistic and passionate, love travelling and all the random/strange/wacky situations that it puts you in.

Enjoy meeting people and exchanging stories.

Plus I love cities and understanding how they work and function.

I lived in Berlin and loved hosting people there and showing them the city.

I’m now back in Melbourne but travel quite a lot still.

PHILOSOPHY

To quote Donald Rumsfeld:

"There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know."

So be aware of all the things you don't even know you don't know... Confusing ey?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have used couchsurfing a number of times now and have always had really positive experiences. Great hosts that become new friends and result in amazing travels. Very grateful to the many awesome hosts I've had. Haven't hosted lots, but have really enjoyed it when I have - it's so nice showing someone around your city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have couchsurfed in a few places now and love how every time you meet great people and get to see a country in a totally different way than if you'd just been on the tourist route.

In music I love Phoenix, Hot Chip, the XX, Vampire Weekend, Kanye West, the Strokes, the Killers, and Django Django (at least those are the most played on my itunes).

Like books about India and politics. Don't read as often as i should so i generally only read non-fiction. I figure if i don't read much i may as well learn something real.

-Swimming in the Mediterranean Sea from Syria
-Falling asleep while riding a push bike. How does someone do that????
-Seeing elephant seals, grey whales, dolphins and jelly fish in California.
