ABOUT ME

I am currently a student at Hamrahlíð College in Reykjavik, I am a board member of the student body council there. I also work part time at the layout department of Fréttablaðið (an Icelandic newspaper). I love meeting new people, especially those that have a different cultural background and experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I still live with my parents so I am not able to host travelers at the moment but I will do so eventually when I have my own place.

However I am more than happy to meet travelers and have a cup of coffee or something. I am also happy to show them around Reykjavík and its neighboring cities. In addition I have a generally good knowledge about other areas of Iceland - so I can also give you hints & tips if you are about to visit other areas of Iceland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only newly registered so I don't have any real experience of CS yet but I hope to make up for that soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think my favorite book is The Good Soldier Švejk. I am also a big fan of the comics about TinTin.

Although it is sort of a cliché favorite film to have I have to say that The Shawshank Redemption is my all time favorite. More movies I like include Goodfellas, the Indiana Jones films (excluding Kingdom of the crystal skull, the Pixar films, and The Big Lebowski to name a few.

To name a few of the musicians I like the most: The Beatles, Megas, CCR, Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson, Baggalútur, Nat King Cole and ABBA.
Of course I like many more but I always have the hardest time remembering them when I have to write them down.

My favorite television shows are South Park, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Boston Legal, Kenny Vs. Spenny, My Name is Earl and Sigtið (an Icelandic show - would be The Crosshair in English).
