Overview
About Me
I'm a grad student and activist currently focused in social movement theory and organization tactics. I'm part of a land trust collective, which operates on consensus decision making. I'm active unionist as a graduate student teacher and involved in actions resisting student debt, defunding mass incarceration, and re-funding education.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Our house hosts a lot of activists coming through the area for conferences. We haven't been using couch surfing for this yet, just pulling from our networks. We're working on collective policies.

Music, Movies, and Books
I always hate filling out these sections as I read a lot and I feel that trying to describe it all is overwhelming and I'd rather have a conversation about it. I do like speculative fiction as a reading genera, there is a really cool story/zine collective in Philadelphia I recommend called Metropolarity. I read academically a lot but have come to distance myself from academic literature outside of decoloniality studies. I read a lot of zince, report-backs, and communiques about various struggles and analysis. I would recommend Accomplices not Allies and A Wager on the Future as things
Right now reading a lot of decolonial
Non-academic reading (when I have the time) is still usually political, so Orwell, Huxley, Bradbury, Walden. I also like the works of Neil Gaimen. There are some graphic novel series that are fantastic such as Warren Ellis' Transmetropolitan and Freakangels. I also love H.P. Lovecraft and horror in that vein.
Music is a far bit of ska and punk, think things like Operation Ivy, the Dammed, The Specials, and more recent stuff like The Soviettes, The Epoxies, and The Shondes. I also listen to a lot of Ani DiFranco, Laura Veirs, Amanda Palmer, and some dance-y stuff like Scissor Sisters, Electric Six and World Inferno/Friendship Society. I also like folk metal such as Finntroll and Korpiklaani. So my music tastes are varied and this is only a small sample of what comes to mind.
I like a fair bit of Sci-Fi/fantasy random sample being Firefly, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Dollhouse, Farscape etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to a collective farming camp in Vermont was probably the most humbling experience of seeing the beauty of mother nature. Not much can compare to that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a fair bit about computer hardware repair. I can also probably fix up a buggy virus ridden computer. Teach a bit about Linux and open source software.
