To find the 'perfect curry', to learn to surf (on waves..), to grow and strengthen my passions by learning/giving from/to other people.
I think I'm pretty easy going, somewhat spontaneous, and a bit of a cheap bugger :) I love to cook at home, drink down at the beach, hitchhike to get places, and bring my tent on the road for accommodation! I love the opportunity to meet the kinds of people that one tends to meet, under these circumstances! I don't have much, but enjoy sharing what I do. In between adventures I like to watch movies, read books, and exploit spices in risky culinary endeavors! I love cooking for others. I enjoy trying new recipes! I dig passionate people who like to speak their mind, and be truthful with themselves. My idols are street buskers, and Henry David Thoreau. I make my own opinions about things, for better or for worse - but typically tend to be a bit cynical. I'm not a huge partier and prefer dinner parties at home, and good conversation over stout. I'm outgoing, but like most of my adventures to end earlier in the evening with a cold drink, a leg rest, fresh air, and some good company, scenery, or music to enjoy! I'll probably end up living in a cabin in the Rocky Mountains one day with a long beard, a pipe, and a spare couch.
We are best stimulated by change and growth, I follow my heart to explore the unknown, and belive in trying anything twice.
The more I travel, the more I get demoralized about our race. The amount of personal gratification and lack of compassion for others that our race embraces is stunning, particularly when compared to the amount of good that people go out of their way to express. I admire couchsurfing, because it's a great attempt to counter the negative energy that our world is so overly composed of. To me, couchsurfing is a noble attempt at turning the tide. I love to daydream about the possibility of a kindness that could infectiously spread around the globe, and couchsurfing is a cool catalyst in that dream.
cooking, playing/listening to music, kicking a soccer ball around, backpacking trips, camping, being 'off the grid', lieing on the beach, drinking beer! And of course... watching buskers!

As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.
-Henry David Thoreau
