ABOUT ME

Though I have not traveled nearly as much as some of the people on this website, I am eager to do so. I want to make up for lost time by exposing myself to new ideas and perspectives so that I can find what best suits me.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that it is up to us to give life meaning, and that the most genuine route to happiness is to find what you are passionate about and pursue it with all you have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am traveling, so I cannot host people. But if you are looking for a kind and observant visitor, I’m your guy! I do not know many people on CS, but hopefully I will meet some soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any experiences myself, but I have had two good friends do it and they absolutely loved it. Hopefully my adventures will measure up to theirs!

Interests

I enjoy current events, international politics, and good conversations. I enjoy reading and literature, casually playing the guitar, exercising (swimming, running, lifting weights, etc.), languages, history, and good food. Like it says in my mission, I am motivated by finding new ways at looking at society and life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love many books, but right now my three favorites are: Good Muslim, Bad Muslim; The Bonfire of the Vanities; and Heart of Darkness. My favorite kinds of movies deal with historical events or have strong messages. I love using the internet to find new kinds of music. As far as genres go, I like rock, electronic, Arabic traditional and pop, classical, jazz--pretty much anything if it's good!

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: I can help people who want to improve their English or French. LEARN: I love learning languages and about other cultures. SHARE: I know a lot about certain issues in the news. I enjoy discussing philosophies and people.
