About Me

Live life to the fullest, because I'll only live once!

Newest Update: Just finishing up my travels in Australia, heading back to Vancouver. Send me a couch request for mid-November and we will see what we can do :)

I'm a recent university graduate with a global mind. I thoroughly enjoy experiencing other languages and culture (I studied both at university), and I want to travel the world!

When I'm 70, I'd rather look back and remember great experiences, not a tiring career...
Also, I'm young and have a lot to learn, so I'm just trying to learn it!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I have couchsurfed some, and I've hosted some too...
I have met some really awesome people through CouchSurfing, making friends along the way throughout the world. It's such a great project and I think quite highly of it. :)

I have hosted a few people and surfed a few times. Every experience has been positive so far, and some of them have been life-changingly awesome! =)
I have some really great friends now, all thanks to CouchSurfing!

Languages and culture, cooking, wine, jogging, reading, cinema, bunch of other stuff..

Music, Movies & Books

- Virtually all music (I really love Italian music)
- Most movies (excluding horror)
- My favourite movies include V for Vendetta, Crash, The Pursuit of Happyness, Slumdog Millionaire, Shutter Island and Star Wars.
Most recent movie I enjoyed: Muriel's Wedding (Australia)
- As for books, I will give anything a try, but my favourites include Harry Potter, anything by Chinua Achebe, and I really enjoy Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, too...
- Most recent book - A Grain of Wheat by Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Teaching. I am studying to become a teacher, and I've gotten some volunteer experience in a classroom. The most amazing thing is when you provide a student with knowledge that they both desire and appreciate. Better yet, seeing them apply the techniques for critical thinking with which you've helped them become more adept. Seeing a student, a young mind, benefit from your teaching really is the most rewarding experience ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to be able to help others practice their English, and I would like others to help me practice my other languages (French, Italian, etc.).
I also love learning how to cook (vegan) dishes from other countries.

Countries I've Visited

France, Greenland, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, South Korea
