HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I'm traveling (usually solo), love to meet new people and immerse in local stuff. When I'm home in Los Angeles, interested in hosting travelers! Will feed you and/or take you around LA/CA.

I generally prefer to host actual travelers, not just Americans who need a place to crash to save money - but if you can share a good meal/bottle of wine/some stories, I'm down for just about anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been amazing as a surfer so far, looking to repay my karma by hosting now!

Música, películas y libros

I listen to all music. Jazz to hiphop, indie to death metal. One minute I'm trying to harmonize to Iron & Wine, next jamming Justin Timerblake, possibly followed by Every Time I Die. Susanne Sundfor is completely blowing my mind right now (worth youtubing "White Foxes"). & I've got a 90's hiphop playlist that incites dance parties.
If you can put up with metal though, you earn major points.

Food: Mexican, Sushi, Thai, spicy. & Taco Bell. Really I eat everything.

Existential books once in a while (Zen & the Art, On the Road, etc)

All movies (esp. docs). If you can recite every line in The Big Lebowski, Anchorman, or Stepbrothers (or all 3)... Did we just become best friends? YUP.

Long series (a la Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, 24, LOST), SNL, hoarders, shark week, Workaholics, Portlandia.. Netflix only, please..

Algo increíble que he hecho

Surfed the longest wave in the world (Peru) and 2nd longest wave (South Africa). Trekked through the Amazon jungle. Gotten lost in the neon lights and underground sights deep in Tokyo. Dove with Great White Sharks in South Africa. Played a reggae festival in Zambia. Camped with elephants and hippos in Zimbabwe. Stayed without electricity and running water in a township in a Zimbabwe suburb.
