Just want to explore - but want to do it cheaply. I much prefer visiting in homes and meeting new people. Have hosted Japanese students off and on for 15 years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have been to Japan twice (so expensive!) - always stay with our friends throughout the country. Have been to Mexico - Cancun and Puerta Vallerta. None through couchsurfing yet.

Foreign films - and great films of any kind (Cannes/Sundance/Oscars), old American rock and roll music, American country-western music, mystery/detective/adventure books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Raised four sons alone, and love them. Took trips without much money which gave me an appreciation of kindness from others>

Teach, Learn, Share

I love my young nursing students - the teaching is best when we learn from each other! I have things to teach from experience; they have ideas that keep my mind active and help me grow (sometimes slowly)
