ABOUT ME

I'm a quiet optimist, an idealist with flashes of realism/cynicism, hate conflict but able to stand my ground. I am a good listener and able to understand another's point of view. I'm sometimes loud, sometime quiet. I love trees, puppets, beads, the smell of wet grass, sunshine, cinnamon. I love the world but hate the state it's in.

I had a roaming childhood as my father's work moved us all over the world but I've been settled in England for over 12 years now. I went to an international school for 5 years and loved it. I feel most at home when I am with people from different countries/cultures/backgrounds. I am energised by people who are creative and passionate.

PHILOSOPHY

I've never set my philosophy in writing but I think it generally is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I hate cruelty and violence, to people or animals - which is why I became a vegetarian.

Music - my preference is for folk/acoustic but I do like some indie rock/pop too. Some artists:

Books - been a bookworm all my life but tend not to read much non-fiction
All of Austen and the Brontes, The End of the Affair, Unless, I Capture the Castle, A Room with a View, Winnie the Pooh, reading Catch 22 and One Hundred Years of Solitude at the moment
