About Me
Currently not hosting during the weekend (Friday-Sunday)
In this moment I'm pretty busy and I prefer to host 1-2 days max.
Feel free to text me! Even if it's just for a beer together, sightseeing or talk about our countries, cultures etc.
***PLEASE, READ THE PARAGRAPHS MARKED AS IMPORTANT AND MY HOUSE SECTION****
Hello, I'm Giovanni (my friends call me Budda, but no, I'm not Buddhist :P)
I'm working as a Software Developer in a small software company in the heart of Firenze.
I'm passionate about tech, I love travelling with my camera and I want to do it more.
I love eating (and cooking), starting from May 2024 I'm trying to be a good vegetarian.
My friends say my lifestyle is closer to a 20y guy than a man in his thirties... I will rest.. You knwo when! Anyway I would describe me as a responsible person who knows when to stop.
I moved into a small apartment in the city centre in May 2019 and I decided to start my Couchsurfing adventure. My goal is to stay home the less I can.
I am currently working on expanding my comfort zone.
I love talking even if sometimes it's hard to break the ice... I like it especially at night, after one (or more...) drinks, about serious and funny things, switching between them in seconds!
I'm ironic and sarcastic, so do not be offended, probably I'm joking!
I appreciate correct, honest, and respectful people.
I love asking questions and finding the answers.
I'm trying to improve my life with small changes pursuing satisfaction and happiness (hints accepted)

# For wannabe guests #
## IMPORTANT ##
- I usually work 9-18 from Monday to Friday (I leave around 8:45in the morning)
- I'm not comfortable in giving you my keys so I ask my guests to use my place only when I am there too. Sorry :)
- If you plan to arrive/leave early in the morning or late at night, tell me in the request
- Please, confirm that you understand these "rules" when you send your request!
## SUGGESTIONS FOR WANNABE GUESTS ##
- I don't like requests with wrong dates, send a message if you need to ask for availability
- Write your Whatsapp/Telegram/Signal/SMS number if you like a quick feedback
- It's hard to know my plans weeks in advance, so usually, I can't give you an answer if asking to be hosted next month. I suggest to send a message and keep in touch and I'll try to update you about my plans

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea behind CS as it is a way of sharing what you have! Not only a bed and you time but also your experience. I grew up a lot thanks to the people I met through this platform.
My apartment is in a very good position for visiting the city and I wanted to be useful to the surfers who want to dive into the history and the beauty of Firenze without having to spend hundreds of euros...we can convert that money into a nice dinner together (or in wine!)
If you don't need a place to stay I'm still happy to meet you! Feel free to text me!
I also would like to improve my English and my knowledge of other cultures. Talking with traveling people is a great opportunity to feel "that mood" even if you are staying in your city.
- Finding a sexual partner is NOT the main purpose of this platform
- I am not a free Airbnb - If you want no interaction with your host "surf" www.booking.com
On weekdays, I can offer a place to sleep from where you can visit Firenze.
On weekends I'm often hiking or travelling so I do not usually accept requests for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I will be glad to meet you after work for dinner, to cook together in my small kitchen, or to chat a little bit in front of a glass of wine, beer, or whatever we want!
I usually keep as free as I can when hosting to spend time together, if you have other plans (i.e you plan to visit Pisa and you come back at 10 pm) let me know in advance so that I can organize my life in the best way.
I am happy that you read my profile, when you send a request write me what is your favorite dish/drink! This helps me giving priority to couchsurfers who care about the host and at least read their profile!
If you have no reviews make sure you have a good profile at least, I know it's hard to write about yourself and it is better to meet in person but one sentence is not enough for me.
## HOW TO SAY THANK YOU ##

Teach, Learn, Share
I own a motor scooter so if you are travelling alone it may be possible to do a little trip outside the crowded city!
If we have time and the weather is bad we can cook something together, for example it happened I made some fresh homemade pasta with some guests.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Chat while walking in the city, eating, drinking!
Tell you something about my country that is not only Spaghetti, mafia and...a lot of churches!
Cook something Italian for you!
Of course, I can also help you with housekeeping or whatever!
I hope to create a connection with my host (and guests) able to resist time and distance.
and in my little experience, it happened a lot, and this is why I'm still here even if I had to pay... :(
