Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel around the world and find my place to be ;)
ABOUT ME
I'm a quiet person, and I think I'm a good listener.
I prefer to travel alone, because I think that way I'm able to see more.
I dont treat myself to take a lot of pictures so I slowly forget most things ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Its better to regret something you've done than something you didn't do
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Spread the word and host people if possible
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First couch I surfed was in fact more a fold-away bed in Beijing than a couch. Nevertheless it was a great experience and I decided to host folks at my home when possible and definitely try to surf some couches whenever I meet some!
Interests
I'd love to learn new languages like chinese or thai, although I somehow never managed to do it. But I will! Soon..
I don't stay in fancy tourist areas, my main interest is to feel like actually living at the place im visiting.
Foreign Foods! I love eating stuff I dont know although I always loose a lot of weight traveling, because its difficult to order food if you dont speak the language ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like various kinds of Music. Mainly, I listen to black metal, but I also enjoy country/bluegrass/"hippie" music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow amazing things? Not sure if it would be interesting for anyone to hear about these "amazing" things:
Missed our ferry and had to wait near midnight with my gf on a very, very small island in december in Sweden. Freezing cold, but soo romantic ;)
Arrived in Nong Khai (Thailand) with 0 Baht on the first day of Songkran. Thought I had to survive the 3 Days without any money or bed to sleep in. Went to a hotel and told about my problem. The owner gave me a room and borrowed me 400 Baht without knowing me. Awesome guy!
Stayed in Bangkok and Isaan during the Redshirt Riots in April 2010. Visited the Redshirt camps. Walked on the "frontline" between Redshirts and National Forces, redshirts showing peace symbol and waving to me. 10 hours later they where hit by a grenade attack (thank god no casualties)
Climbing Mount Tai Shan in China. Took me about 5 Hours, probably the most exhausting thing I did so far, but totally worth it
Riding the Transsiberian Railway from Moscow to Mongolia to Beijing
Sleeping in a Ger (traditional Tent) in the mongolian steppe (Tereldsh National Park)
Swimming in a lake (including waterfall) in the forest in Laos
Teach, Learn, Share
Currently, I'm working as a Consultant / Software Developer.. So if you want to know anything about C# or OOP, feel free to ask. Haha
I'd love to learn more languages, Mandarin, Thai and Spanish in particular but its difficult as I'd need a teacher to get me startet and thats very difficult/expensive where I live
Countries I’ve Visited
China, Denmark, Laos, Mongolia, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Sweden, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany
