About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love to travel whenever I have the time/money (lately that hasn't been often, but I want to change it). If I can't travel to other places to meet new people, it's nice when they come to Buffalo.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently one class away from having my Master's degree in social studies education. Right now I'm working as a substitute teacher, but I'm hoping to get a real teaching job sometime soon (even if it's not in Buffalo).

I like to travel whenever I can, but if I can't do the traveling, the next best thing is meeting people from out of town, and especially out of country. Over the past few years, I've made friends with a lot of the exchange students who have come to my university. I love to meet people from other countries and learn more about their language, culture, traditions and everyday life. It's not only fun and interesting for me, but I think it will help me become a better teacher too!
I spent time studying in Germany, so it's always fun to meet German speakers and brush up on my skills! Feel free to contact me to hangout if you find yourself in Buffalo.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live as happy a life as possible, because it goes so quick and I really don't want to spend much of it being miserable. I like helping people discover and learn new things (part of why I'm a teacher), and I love it when they also help me discover and learn new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couchsurfing, but I'd like to start by hanging out with some couchsurfers who find themselves in the Buffalo area!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing yet...hoping to change that!

Interests

I like sports, redditing, heading out for a good beer with friends or just relaxing. Lately I've been into exploring Buffalo a bit more, because I realized there are plenty of small adventures that I haven't embarked on yet! If you come to Buffalo, I'd be glad to join you for some exploration and adventure

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of books that deal with history. I also enjoy reading various articles online and learning new things. I find that I get a greater interest in things the more I learn about them. One of my favorite books is 'A Clockwork Orange'

For music, I mostly listen to rock music, but I've been expanding into other areas and genres as well. I still don't really like country, but it's not a problem if you do!

My mood really determines the type of movies I want to watch. Sometimes I just want to watch an action movie, but other times I'm in the mood for a scary movie or a drama. A good documentary is always great as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It seems pretty simple, but I think sunrises and sunsets are really amazing. I love the way the light casts different shadows.

Aruba, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Cayman Islands, France, Germany, Jamaica, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Norway, Poland, Saint Lucia, Virgin Islands, U.S.
