Hello there! My name is Bulera, and I run a non-government charity organisation which aims to improve the lives of poor orphaned and vulnerable children who have seen their lives negatively affected by H.I.V./AIDS and war, many of whom suffer from visual, hearing and physical disabilities. Our organisation provides education, counselling and home tracing for the families of these street children. We also do our best in providing shelter and rehabilitation for these kids, and provide assistance for some of the drug addictted children into reconstructing them into better citizens. We believe that together we can make a better place for the vulnerable children of Uganda. We currently take care of 150 children and a community based program of 200 children. Provision of basic needs and support to all these children is our major problem since we consist of a small group of volunteers, so our hope is to get as much help as possible from volunteers (both locally and abroad) to help develop the project and provide the basic necessities that these children deserve.
