About Me

CURRENT MISSISION
To Learn wine
ABOUT ME
I am a person who loves wine (though I get drunk easily.) and classical, orchestral music. I am a flutist.

Although I wrote I love in Tokyo, actually I live in Kawasaki city in Kanagawa prefecture. But it's still accessible. It takes 15 minutes from Shibuya staition by train and cost 200 yens for one way. The reason I wrote Tokyo is just in order to have more requests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My workcamp leader told me this website when I had volunteer work in France during 31 Aug. to 21 Sep, 2012. After the work in France, I was to visit a university in the Netherlands, but I had less money because I was cheated when I exchanged Yen to Euro at Paris. I talked over with my workcamp leader how I can save the money for hotel and he introduced me Couchsurfing. I know the main objective of couchsurfing should not be saving money, but I started in this way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couched once, hosted many times! Not all of guests left references, but I have hosted more than 80 persons so far as of 12 Feb. 2015.

Interests

The music, especially classical music. I always listen to classical music. My favorite composers are French comporser, like Ravel, Debbussy, Bizet, etc.
Wine, this actually became my job. I really appreciate it if you introduce wines in your country.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
Ravel: I really appreciate his technique for orchestration. I see it at "Lever de jour" from "Daphnis et Chloé".
Debussy: I appreciate his piano works while I love his orchestral works. Because piano can make many notes at the same time and make harmonies, it was used to used as method to realize composer's musical theory, but I think he is the first composer who focused Piano's tone color which is quite pure and calm sound. You can see it at "Clair de Lune".

Movies
The Artist (2011), A nous la liberte (1931), Sous les toit de Pris (1930).

I like old French movies especially by René Clair (1898-1981). I feel nostalgic and happiness in ordinal life and laugh at the humor when I watch his work. I think those old movies has something we lost in contemporary movies. Old french movies has the harmony between film and music while movies focus on actors or actress, nowadays.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Harong Bay. It was on 2010 when I visited Hanoi, Vietnam. I had a volunteer work there. We went to the bay on day-off. It was first time to see such a wonderful view. Many islands with clear sky qnd the sea.

Travel around Japan. It was on 2009 when I was a freshman at Iwate university. I visited Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Ohsaka, Kyoto. It was first time to travel alone, so every step gave me a feeling of self confidence and achievement. I was not confident to myself, so this experience changed my life. Without this, I never think of going to Vietnam and France alone.

Alone Travel to Europe.
It was on 2012 and visited France and Netherlands. I had 2 objectives in this journey. One is cultural objective. As I wrote on the profile above, I am addicted by the French culture, but I had never been there. So I wanted to see and feel their culture. So I decided to participate in the volunteer work in local area of France. The other one is academical objective. I studied ruminants' nutrition. We had many exchange students in our lab. and one of them told their work when she was in the university in the Netherlands. I felt environment of study is quite different from Japanese one and Netherlands seemed much more advanced. I got interested in how they study and how different it is between Japanese and European education of the university. So I contact her supervisor and I could have a permission to visit the university.
