Eclectic taste in all

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

A small moment, but a moment nonetheless. I had just arrived in southern India with my mate. We were walking along the beach still fully attired and carrying our backpacks. Ahead along the sand, we saw a group of about half a dozen guys making headway straight toward us. We were cautious. And as soon as they neared us, one of them piped up straight away and said, "I can see that you're not from around here. Come! Let me show you my city." I was dumbstruck. Never before have I experienced such human compassion. When I asked why he walked 100m just to talk to us, he said that he knows that I would do the same if I saw him wandering around in Sydney. And you know what, that's now exactly what I do.
