I love sharing experiences, conversations, and really horrible dad jokes, and I'm always up for all sorts of exploring and hiking. I've volunteered with animals in South Africa, backpacked in the Balkans, had a short film premiere at a Detroit film festival, and gone on several wild camping trips in the States. I like playing board games, quoting Shrek, and telling dogs what good boys they are.

I recently completed a year of service with AmeriCorps NCCC (ask me about my service term!! It's been one hell of a ride), where I discovered a deep love and passion for sustainability and urban farming. This inspired my next great adventure: a year WWOOFing in New Zealand!

In 2017 I went backpacking alone for the first time in the Balkans, and the most memorable part of that trip wasn't all the ancient sites or gorgeous hikes (incredible as they were), but the people I met in hostels along the way, many of whom I met up with later on my trip! I'm very friendly and enjoy meeting new people, especially people that share similar interests and lifestyles, and I thought CS would be a great way to incorporate meeting locals into my travels and getting a richer experience in the cities I visit.

My service term with AmeriCorps has probably been the wildest adventure yet-- living and working and eating and sleeping with the same squad of people for several months, serving local communities alongside nonprofits, and finding new passions, skills, and dreams? Hell yeah.

I love learning and speaking other languages, and I've been told I can whip up a pretty good dinner. I’m always down for any outdoor activity (let's hike).

I'm certified to teach English as a foreign language and am always looking to practice Spanish. I've definitely gotten yelled at in hostels for doing other people's dishes, but I don't mind. If you're excited to pick up a new hobby that will give you something to talk about with your grandma, I can teach you how to do embroidery and give your old clothes new life!

My major in university was also filmmaking so if you want to learn how to shoot or edit little films, I’m always more than happy to share.
