About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to adapt to Istanbul after a-year-long Erasmus experience/adventure in Germany...
ABOUT ME
I've just finished a-year-long Erasmus exchange program in Germany and now relocated back in Istanbul. After having so much intense fun trying to adapt once more to life in a big city and studying & working at the same time will be kind of hard. But after being hosted by so many times in different countries in Europe, now I have the chance to host surfers from all over the world in one of the biggest & greatest cities in the world.
As I just mentioned making and exchange program and traveling through several countries in Europe gives people the perfect oppurtunity to meet people from different cultures, which is very very nice!
So I got to meet and learn about lots of different cultures, also different languages and of course people. As my friends call, I'm one of the language freaks. That doesn't mean that I speak 5 languages fluently. However I'm always trying to learn new languages and at least some expressions from some other ones...
PHILOSOPHY
"The second place is the first loser." This may sound a little bit extreme, maybe too much ambitious, but don't worry. I've also learnt how to control my desires and ambitions. Hehe (:

Interests
As I've just mentioned above one of my biggest interest is learning foreign languages. Then I would count basketball, especially NBA. I always try to watch games live, but when I can't, from tape or with some videos I'm trying to keep myself every time updated. Besides basketball, soccer, table tennis, swimming are my other favorite sports, hmmm and lately also badminton. I've just played several times, but I'm getting better, I guess... (:
Movies and TV Series are also two of my hobbies. Mostly series from the States and every single movie that's worth watching... How do I define it? Well, my favorite genres are: Crime, mystery, thriller & horror. In addition having a nice scenario, and talent actors of course won't hurt... e.g. Kevin Spacey, Edward Norton...
Oops, I almost forgot. I have 3 blogs that I'm trying to keep up-to-date. One is in Turkish/German mixed, the other one is just in English, and the last one is only in Turkish and just about basketball...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have to think to enumerate more than one thing, however the first thing that comes to my mind is: Making a one-week-long road trip in Italy, sleeping everyday in the car, getting up 7, 8 am and going to sleep at 01, 02 am and walking and sightseeing in between...
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to show you around here, but right now I have no idea how my program is going to be like, but it is likely that I will have some time on weekends and I would enjoy Istanbul once time with you. I could teach some Turkish/Spanish/English/German expressions, mostly slang (: Also would be happy to show some tips about programming, softwares, Internet and my favorite, basketball, NBA. We could also have some conversation about movies and TV series...
Learn: I would love to learn about the cities that I'm visiting. The history and also the current situation. Learning some expressions about the native language of the place I am visiting is a must... (:
