I studied abroad in Rome from August 2013-May 2014. I traveled around Europe during my breaks while there and have been in love with traveling ever since. Never thought that would happen since I am terrified of flying, but I did and can't wait to get back to it.
I am currently taking classes because I changed what I want to do completely (went from pediatrician, to forensics and now early childhood education)...after completing 5yrs at a university lol. But, no regrets at all! Although, I could do without the debt *side eye to America* aha. I am also working a couple jobs. I am a research assistant and I tutor children grades 2nd-6th so I can take a another trip soon because this travel itch is ridiculous XD! Hope to meet some of you great people on my next adventure or yours, whenever it may be :)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Meeting and making friends while traveling is something that I love to do. It is one of the best parts of traveling. I met some awesome people at couchsurfing meet ups, who I now call friends. I have couch surfed and enjoyed it. I know it is a great way to make new, and possibly, life long friends.
I have traveled before but I do not believe I really truly experienced each place. I usually stayed with my friends or group I was traveling with and stayed in the more touristy areas. I would love to really get a true sense of what each place is about. I want to speak and interact with more locals and really get to know the countries, cities and its people.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music- A little bit of everything really. I LOVE oldies (everything Motown), R&B, Gospel, a little bit of rock, a little bit of pop, even a bit of country. Can and will dance to anything with a good beat! Some of my favorite artists include John Mayer, Aaliyah, Corinne Bailey Rae, India Arie, James Morrison, Anthony Hamilton, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Aloe Blacc, Jason Mraz, Lauryn Hill/Fugees, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind and Fire, stuff like that!

Movies- Lover of horror/supernatural movies! They are my absolute favorite. That goes for my tv taste as well. Love suspense, action, mystery type movies. I can get into any movie really, except romantic films. I have tried but I just...cant.

Books- I do not read for leisure too much but I am really trying to change that. I usually just wait for the film haha. Of course, I've read books but they were usually for class. One book I read in my high school AP Lit class was East of Eden and I did/do love that.

If you're looking to improve your English, I can help with that. I kind of, sort of play the guitar-translation- I know a few songs and chords lol. So I can teach you a few chords if you'd like haha. If you are a more experienced player, I'd love for you to teach me some new things. I also love tennis. We can play a few sets if you'd like. If you want to learn anything, ask and I'll do my best to help.
Traveling is a learning experience and I try to take in as much as possible. So, anything you're willing to share about your life, your travels, your country, etc., I'm all ears.
