About Me

I'm a visual designer working in User Experience, but my passion is in art & story-telling. I grew up in New Jersey, US, but take every opportunity to travel and meet new friends. I'm very laid-back, open-minded and respectful to people and energy. We're all invitations to each other's stories & I'm looking forward to sharing some moments & laughs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be traveling to Europe for the first time next month and felt couch surfing was a different opportunity to meet awesome people along the way. I've heard great things about the CS community and I'm pumped to be part of it (as a traveler for now, but will happily host with my own place!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2009, I made a trip to Guatemala for the first time since leaving as an infant.

Unfortunately, our leader had to stay state-side, the next guy in line had a travel issue delaying him in the capitol city for a few days and the third group leader spoke very little Spanish.

We piled into pickup trucks and toured a handful of communities a day. With full packs, open hearts and dusty roads, we winged it. I translated at community centers and facilitated activities with the schools, kids, and community members. I learned a lot about Guatemalan/Mayan culture, my family and where I was born. I met a family history face to face and the land of Eternal Spring, heart to heart.

Teach, Learn, Share

Stories. The best growth comes from living, sharing and listening to stories. I like to tell a couple, but I'm all ears !
