ABOUT ME

I enjoy playing guitar, stand-up comedy, ultimate frisbee, and all things fun. I am currently attending law classes at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. It is my first time studying abroad, and I love the quirky, friendly, engaging people I am meeting. I am hoping to make the most of my semester and see as much of Europe as possible, and to make as many new and interesting as possible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can only surf since I do not have a couch in my small dorm room.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to play in a touring rock band. We toured across the United States two summers in a row, and did a number of smaller tours as well, so I am very much used to crashing on couches and floors. Sometimes people were fantastic; they would cook for us, do our laundry, and be our guides - one family in San Antonio, Texas, sent us on a tour of the city in a limo. Other times, we stayed in some pretty nasty places with less-than-savory people. Sometimes those make for pretty great stories, but I am hoping to meet the friendly, cool people in Europe.

I swam with sharks in the Galapagos Islands. They weren't killer sharks or super-big sharks, but it was still pretty sweet.
