About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet people from all over the world. This may sound obvious but I am no spring chicken. Let's say I never got to do the travel thing when I was just out of high school/before college. It's my goal to have those experiences that I've not yet had.

ABOUT ME

Who am I? Frankly, I always find these little boxes completely intimidating, but I'll give it a shot.

Music is essential to everything that rocks the boat and my inner-peace. Currently, I make illustrations for those awful standardized tests you all had to take throughout school. I know some really rad people.
Art supplies spilling out of every closet and cabinet in my apartment. Art projects get me to the zen state I most desire. I make jewelry too.

I was in NYC for 9|11. It was scary and shifted perceptions of personal safety. When the power outage happened on the East Coast I was sure we were under attack again and I left work to walk home immediately.

It took 2 hours and it turned Brooklyn and all the other Buroughs into an instant campout. People brought all the food from their refrigerators that would otherwise spoil, fired up grills and invited the neighbors. People brought out their instruments and had sing-a-longs on their roofs. It made Brooklyn a beautiful place, not that it wasn't already, there was just magic afoot. Amazing what can happen when a whole city turns their TVs off and goes outside. It felt like all my years at Burning Man (12), the nomadic community that gathers each year in the desert.

I'm a very kind and considerate person. I am really interested in meeting new people. Each time someone new comes into my life, I learn something new and thrilling about the world. It really is all of us that make this big beautiful world so great, our collective beauty.

PHILOSOPHY

People are amazing. Intrinsically, human beings are good to each other. I was living in New York City when 9/11 happened. It was stressful, it was scary, and the people were truly inspiring to each other. Under stress, when human beings truly shine, it is something to see. I hope to spread my own brand of kindness and joy. I may never get the chance to jump off a bridge and save a life, but I have some emotional tools which could be just the thing to save someone's life one day. Until that day though, how about a smile (a universal language no)?
